¿Como?

I have completely accepted this journey. In fact, my expectation of like minded people in search of truth and those that would share the truth have been fulfilled. This may not be the only place in the world to find a culture that accepts everyone as a person first, without judgement, but I am enthralled with the idea that when I say "hola", I get a smile and an "hola" back. Everytime! Granted, there are the areas and people that lack morals and will harrass you, however they are easily rebuked and disappear readily.

I have not even left the San Jose area and I am already in love with this place. The exhaust fumes and traffic and noise cannot dampen my enthusiasm for this land of riches. The kind of riches you cannot purchase.

I am off to Montezuma tomorrow morning. I have a four hour bus ride through the rain forest and then on to a ferry across the gulf of Nicoya. I am thinking about staying there for a month, so I may rent an apartment. $300 - $500/month. WEEEEEE!!!

Montezuma is on the Northwest Pacific Coast of the country, in case you are cartography oriented. It sits at the end of the Nicoya penninsula. 80 degree water year round and weather like Hawaii. Oh yeah, the surf is apparently kick ass. I will see for myself when I arrive.

CLICK ME for Playa Montezuma Info and Pictures....

I hope to write something other than silly details about this place, but right now I am very much in awe and extremely giddy all the time. Hard to focus the creative energy right now. But it will come, I can feel it.

And as for the daily celebration at 4:20, think quarter pound for $30 US. I wish I could show you the smile on my face! And yes, I said pound.

Ciao for now, I will write again soon!

¡¡Pura Vida!!

Andy,

I had a great time in Costa Rica and Kay and I are sad to be back. I have to say for the benefit of those ppl that read your site and know you 'differently' than we do, that the change in your demeanor and the calm/peace that has settled in your face was a dramatic one. When we saw you in Montezuma, we weren't even sure it was you. :)

Please continue to bask in the sunshine of the ppl you will be meeting there and let your journey on this road of life take you further along and into interesting/enlightening circumstances. I'll be checking in on you once in a while....

We'll be continuing to live a life of balance, acceptance and understanding as you have as well....

Andy:
I'm glad your first impressions are exceeding your expectations. You appear to be on a real adventure. Once you get your mind free of the "fast" lane of L.A., I bet the creative juices start flowing like San Jose's rain.

Have a happy Thanksgiving. We all miss you and love you. Be safe!

Love, Dad
