Best Place to Jump
If you ever reach the end of the world...Jump. It's the best to do so. Once there is nothing left to discover the only remaining mystery lies beyond death. And it seems to me that a person jumping from such a height would have a long time to recollect all that was learned in life, so as to not forget.
I find pleasure in this notion because of the inherent logic flaw. How could one ever reach the end of a circle? Even figuratively finding the end to jump from would simply place you right back on the circle from which you jumped. It is said that death comes for each of us in time. I choose to dispel that myth in my mind. I choose to believe that I am walking a path toward death, it is not coming for me. Death is not a hunter. Death is a door.
The trick is seeing it in the distance and still having enough road left to get things done. It is easier to be surprised by your arrival at the door than not. However, it is possible to recognize the inevitability of its arrival and prepare.
I feel blessed to have crossed the threshold once and returned. For now, I will keep my eyes on the horizon for a familiar door's approach. Not looking for the door, but marveling at all that is ahead of me, between here and there.
